Welcome to our blog about our mission to buy a cottage by the sea. It all started in August 2011 when our friends Zoe and Armand took us camping in Salcombe. Salcombe ticked all our boxes:
It was in England - accessible without having to fly,
it is beautiful,
it is perfect for sailing,
everyone is friendly,
when we came home (not very willingly) we started looking for a house. Usually whenever we come home from holidays we look for properties as a joke, but this time we weren't joking!

Whats the latest news?
We will be going down in the middle of December and we hope to get the keys then. The house needs a lot of building works, but we hope it will be habitable by the end of February.
